How to disable cookies through browser configuration on Chrome

 

  1. Open the Chrome browser
  2. Click on the browser’s toolbar menu next to the URL window
  3. Click on Settings
  4. Click Advanced
  5. In the “Privacy” section, click on “Content Settings”
  6. In the “Cookies” section you can change the following cookie settings: Allow local data storage

Change local data only up until the browser is closed
Prevent websites from setting cookies

Block third-party cookies and website data
Manage exceptions for some websites
Delete one or all cookies

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox
  2. Click on the browser’s toolbar menu next to the URL window
  3. Select Options
  4. Select the Privacy panel
  5. Click on Show Advanced Settings
  6. In the “Privacy” section, click on “Content Settings”
  7. In the “Tracking” section, you can change the following cookie settings: Request that websites do not use any tracking

Notify websites of your willingness to be tracked

Not to disclose any preference regarding personal data tracking

  1. In the “Chronology” section, you can:

Enable “Use custom settings” and select accept third-party cookies (always, by most visited websites or never) and save these cookies for a specified period of time (until expiry, until Firefox is closed, or ask every time)

Remove single stored cookies

Internet Explorer/Edge

  1. Open the Internet Explorer/Edge browser
  2. Click on the Tools button and choose Internet Options
  3. Click on the Privacy tab and in Settings, move the slider based on your desired action for cookies:

Block all cookies
Allow all cookies

Select the websites from which you want to receive cookies: move the cursor to an intermediate position so as to block or allow all cookies, then click on Websites, add the website address in the box and then click on Block or Allow

Safari 6

  1. Open the Safari browser
  2. Click on Safari, select Preferences and then Privacy
  3. In the Block Cookies section, you can specify how Safari accepts cookies from websites
  4. To see which websites have stored cookies, click Details

Safari iOS (mobile devices)

  1. Open the iOS Safari browser
  2. Tap on Settings and then Safari
  3. Tap on Block Cookies and choose between various options: “Never”, “From third parties and advertisers” or “Always”
  4. To delete all cookies stored by Safari, tap on Settings, then Safari and lastly on Clear Cookies and Data

  1. Open the Opera browser
  2. Click “Preferences” then “Advanced”, and lastly on “Cookies”
    Select one of the following options:

Accept cookies only from the websites you visit: third-party cookies sent from a domain other than that you are browsing will be refused
