The Tour starts from Saint Giusto Hill which, since prehistoric times, it housed a castle, in Roman times the political, administrative and religious center of the Roman Trieste and in the Middle Ages the Cathedral and the Castle of Saint Giusto, seat of the Museum and the Trieste lapidary. From the hill you go down into the historic center through the streets enclosed by the ancient Roman walls and then medieval passing by the Arch of Richard dating back to the first half of the first century BC and the Roman Theater built between the first and second century AD. Continue through the streets of the old city, the muse of writers and poets such as Umberto Saba and place that has welcomed the great part of the Roman, medieval and early modern age. The end of the Tour is in Torino Street, the heart of Trieste’s nightlife and Venezia Square, which overlooks the Revoltella Museum which houses one of the most important collections of modern art in Italy.
